Born and raised in Houston, TX, I journeyed to New York in 2001 to earn an undergraduate degree in Film & Television production from New York University. After producing a few short documentaries for my coursework, I decided to continue using the medium as a means to explore culture and art that does not receive sufficient coverage from mainstream media.

I returned to Houston after graduation and have since gained diverse experience crewing for a variety of productions as a camera operator, lighting director, editor, production assistant, and grip. I am appreciative of and have made the most of opportunities to work closely with talented individuals and performers ranging from string quartet members to graffiti artists.

I recently completed directing and editing a documentary for PBS distribution entitled, Appalachia in the Academy: The Making of Eastern Kentucky Scholars.” The film explores accessibility to higher education for rural Applachians and follows three high school students from Eastern Kentucky through their first year at the University of Kentucky.
